Replacing G, H and J piers

As part of our plan to make sure the infrastructure in Westhaven is in tip-top shape we are replacing G, H and J piers which have served us well for the last 40 years or so.

In mid-May, we will begin work to replace these three piers so that we can continue to provide quality berthage and future proof this infrastructure for the next 30+ years. This project forms part of the Westhaven Plan.

Our work will begin with G pier. We will relocate these boats, dismantle the pier, build the new pier, and then install the new gate. We will then do the same at H pier, and then finish with J pier in September/October.

We are planning this work to cause the least possible disruption, but if you are around this part of Westhaven you may hear a bit of construction noise.

As you can imagine, there are some logistics involved in a project like this, so a special thanks to the berth holders of G, H and J for bearing with us while we relocate them to do this work.

In the spirit of re-use, instead of disposing of the old piers, they will be heading across to the shore to our friends at the Milford Marina where they will continue to be of service.
