Westhaven Drive road closure for Transpower cable repair works – 13 July–16 August

Transpower and its contractors will soon begin construction works on Westhaven Drive to repair a 220kV underground transmission cable. These essential works will help maintain New Zealand's national electricity transmission network.

The works are scheduled from 13 July to 16 August 2026 and will require the temporary closure of a section of Westhaven Drive between the car park entrances adjacent to R and Z piers. The road closure will remain in place 24 hours a day for the duration of the project.
