Work to replace the remaining older lighting across parts of Westhaven Marina's car parks and promenade areas is now underway.
Over the past decade, much of the marina has benefited from modern LED lighting. This next phase will see Auckland Council contractors replace the remaining end-of-life light poles and fittings with new poles and energy-efficient LED lights, creating a more consistent lighting network across the marina.
The new lighting will improve safety, energy efficiency and the experience for everyone using the marina after dark.
What to expect
The project is expected to take up to four months and will be delivered in stages to minimise disruption.
During the works:
· Construction will take place during permitted working hours only, with low levels of noise and dust expected.
· Small sections of parking will be temporarily unavailable as work progresses, typically affecting up to six car parks at any one time.
All work will be carried out under a comprehensive health and safety plan.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is completed. If you have any questions, please contact the marina team.
