Westhaven News April 2023

Thanks to everyone who popped by to visit us at the Auckland On Water Boat Show last month. It was great to see some familiar faces, to chat with some of our berth holders and potential new customers, and to catch up with some old marine industry colleagues and acquaintances.

Customer satisfaction survey 2023

Thank you very much to the 461 customers who provided feedback in this year’s annual customer satisfaction survey about Westhaven Marina. The survey is now closed and over the coming months we will go through your responses to determine themes and identify areas for improvement.

We’ll keep you informed about how we’re taking your feedback on board by addressing key themes identified from your responses in our newsletter throughout the year.

All completed surveys went in the draw to win one of five $50 vouchers for one of Westhaven’s marina businesses. We have been in touch with the prize winners.

Construction and maintenance update

Reclamation update

Construction of the reclamation car park began last month and is progressing well. Works have been focussed on laying inground services, and construction of the cantilevered promenade along the southern edge of the reclamation is next on the cards.

The construction site and laydown area encompass the new reclamation as well as a portion of the existing eastern car park area. The contractors are doing their best to minimise the reduction of existing car parks; however some car parks will be unavailable at times throughout the construction period.

Security update

As part of a CCTV project that is underway across Eke Panuku managed waterfront areas, 15 additional CCTV cameras are about to be installed in Westhaven over the coming weeks, including licence plate recognition cameras at the marina’s entrance/exit points.

These new cameras will enhance our CCTV coverage and bolster our commitment to keeping your vessels safe. We expect any disruption from this work to be minimal and anticipate the new cameras to be in operation by July 2023.
