Reclamation update
Construction of the reclamation car park began last month and is progressing well. Works have been focussed on laying inground services, and construction of the cantilevered promenade along the southern edge of the reclamation is next on the cards.
The construction site and laydown area encompass the new reclamation as well as a portion of the existing eastern car park area. The contractors are doing their best to minimise the reduction of existing car parks; however some car parks will be unavailable at times throughout the construction period.
Access to A, AA and AB piers remains available via BC gate for the duration of the project.
AB gate, at the end of the reclamation, will be installed in conjunction with the permanent car park works and will be available for use once construction is complete.

Transformer upgrade
In the coming weeks, Vector will be upgrading the power transformer near the C pier toilet block. We will provide more information via email once we have a confirmed timeframe.
F pier refurbishment
We’re pleased to advise the refurbishment of F pier is almost complete. Work will be wrapped up by the end of this month.

F1 pier refurbishment
Refurbishment works on F1 pier will begin shortly. This will involve replacing the pontoon through-bolts, whalers, dock fittings and the plastic pile sleeving. The work will start at F1-01 and progress down the pier. We expect this work to be completed by late 2023.

G, J and H pier upgrades
G, J and H piers have been fully upgraded; however installation of the new G / H gate was delayed due to a manufacturing hold-up. We have some good news, though – the contractor has now started the installation of the gate and we expect this to be available for use by late May. Until the installation of new gate is complete, temporary access to G pier will remain via the F1 pier gate, and to H pier either via the F1 gate or J gate.

Fire alarm system upgrade
The fire alarm system for our piers has reached the end of its operational life and will be replaced with a new system. The upgrade is planned to commence shortly and will be delivered in stages, pier by pier. There should be minimal disruption to pier users.
