Pile Mooring Development
Progress continues on the next Westhaven Plan project, the Pile Berth Redevelopment and its associated northern headland development.
August 2016 Update
Following our presentation at the Westhaven Forum of updated concept drawings for the northern headland development associated with the pile mooring redevelopment project, we are nearly ready to apply for resource consent on this project. Auckland region’s 19 Iwi have contributed their expertise and knowledge of the local area to this project, which will be a new and special place to visit for all Aucklanders who want to enjoy the experience of visiting and connecting with the Waitemata Harbour. Following a successful consent application, is anticipated that building will commence in mid 2017.
June 2016 update
Progress continues on the next Westhaven Plan project, the Pile Berth Redevelopment, and the next round of more detailed concepts are now available for viewing.
This project sees the redevelopment of the 100, and 200 rows of the Pile Berths into modern floating marina berths, with associated new car parking on an extended northern.
Designs show a Waka theme being used to create the basis of the overarching design of the public realm area of the development on the northern side of the proposed new reclamation.
